There is a lot of buzz right now about CBD, and you may have questions. Many people are saying that CBD offers relief from chronic pain and helps them sleep better, among other benefits. It can be obtained without a doctor’s prescription and is becoming more widely available.
As you consider whether this is something to try, there are a few basics that are important for you to know about.
First of all, the initial reaction of most people is to consider CBD on the same level as marijuana…more specifically, medical marijuana. However, there is a critical difference between the plants used for recreational marijuana and CBD.
Consider this: recreational marijuana has been significantly hybridized to increase the quantity of the mind-altering chemical THC. The goal of recreational marijuana seller has been to provide a product that produces a high for the end-user.
CBD, on the other hand, is created using industrial hemp. This hemp is a cousin to marijuana, but has not been specifically bred and hybridized for a recreational high. Therefore, while CBD contains very small trace amounts of THC, it does not produce a high.
Instead, it is loaded with health-promoting phytocannabinoids that bring balance and relief to users without an opiate effect.
Second, there is some confusion over the difference between a basic hemp supplement and full-spectrum CBD.
Full-spectrum CBD contains THC and phytocannabinoids that have specific health benefits. It is extracted from all parts of the industrial hemp plant except the seeds. Products marked “hemp oil” that are not specifically labeled as full spectrum are usually extracts of hemp seed, and they lack the health benefits of cannabinoids and the trace amounts of THC.
A quality hemp extract has many health-promoting benefits, and is worth considering if you are hesitant to try full-spectrum CBD.
Finally, to understand why CBD is beneficial, it is important to acquaint yourself with the Endocannabinoid system. Essentially, humans have receptors throughout the body for cannabinoids – the health-promoting essence of CBD oil. This is called the Endocannabinoid system.
As it turns out, the human body produces some cannabinoids on its own, and they are an essential factor in our health. It is believed that the use of CBD oil will actually prompt the body to produce more cannabinoids.
A great source of information can be found on the website of pain revealed expert Dr. Edward Group. Dr. Group shares that people are successfully using CBD for restful sleep, ease joint discomfort, and support a healthy inflammatory response.
Dr. Group states, “With the passing of the Farm Bill in December 2018, hemp became federally legal in the United States. And with it, the floodgates opened…Hemp and its array of phytocannabinoids offer an impressive number of health benefits.”
CBD is legal, won’t make you high, and may make a tangible difference in your wellness and quality of life.
*It is always a good idea to discuss with your medical practitioner if you are interested in trying any new supplement.

Excellent for sleep issues. No drowsiness on awaking.
I have tried full spectrum CBD from reputable companies. I have tried 500mg, 750mg, 1000mg and 1500mg. I have tried CBD from five different companies for up to three months each a nd have taken 10 drops twice daily, then fifteen drops twice daily, then 30 to forty drops twice daily with no effect for pain, sleep, anxiety. Why does it not work for me? I am very frustrated because there is so much hype around CBD and how it helped so many people with their problems. Can you tell me why it does not work for me.?
Hi, Even though you’ve tried multiple different sources I am wondering if it’s the quality or type of cbd that is the problem. I source mine from Australia and only need to take 1-2 drops as opposed to one I obtained from Ireland (to receive an equivalent potency I had to drink half the bottle LOL)
I have been told that if you eat refined sugar that it will keep you from feeling it’s affects. Look up raw food world and they have a question box that you can ask Matt Monarch about cbd oil.
Linda,
Don’t feel bad, it never worked for me either. But I gave up after 2 weeks.
There is a difference between CBD made from hemp which is purely for well being & cannabis CBD which will relieve pain & aid various illnesses depending on the structure of CBD.
Is it legal to purchase online from Australia. Somebody commented that they get it from Australia, can you tell me the name of the company please?
Thanks
