“I knew pain; pain was my very close friend for many years. I know how devastating pain can be; it can transform your personality, and it can become a huge block for personal growth.”

When you hear words like that, you know that you’ve met a doctor who can truly understand the struggle you are going through.

In our eye-opening second episode, we met Dr. John Lieurance, a Chiropractic and Naturopathic physician. As a result of a car accident, he experienced a severe back injury. On top of that, he suffers from Lyme disease.

In our interview, Dr. Lieurance goes into depth about the Ten Pass Hyperbaric Ozone and other treatments he received. Happily, he reports that he has regained near-normal health thanks to these treatments!

Lieurance credits his own journey with disease and injury for exposing him to many modalities for healing: “When you’re a seeker, these things appear.”

One intriguing therapy that his practice offers is cryotherapy. He explains that genes have developed to counter the extreme temperatures humans used to be exposed to in nature. The body responds to brief exposure to the extreme negative temperatures in cryotherapy treatment by generating heat energy.

When the treatment ends, the body applies this energy to the healing process.

Lieurance explains, “When we start applying regenerative medicine, we’re looking for modalities… that can activate those genes, so that that person can really dig deep at a cellular level to heal those injuries.”

Cryotherapy’s power to tap into the body’s own ability to heal itself is a powerful example of how re-thinking the way we deal with pain can bring not just temporary relief, but actual healing!
